Child Support Calculator
This will generate a formula for a single employee with one more more child supports, when all child support orders have equal priority. What is the maximum amount, and the maximum percent of disposable income that may be withheld for each child support order?
The child support order itself may list the maximum percent of disposable income that may be withheld. Under the Consumer Credit Protection Act, the federal limit is 50% of the disposable income if the obligor is supporting another family and 60% of the disposable income if the obligor is not supporting another family. However, those limits increase 5% --to 55% and 65% --if the arrears are greater than 12 weeks. State laws may vary. If you are unsure, please contact your accountant, or the child support agency.
