JC Barnhart has been part of the Deltek University team as a subject matter expert and instructor on Vantagepoint for the last 3 years. Prior to his work in DU he was on the Maconomy support team for 2 years and the Vision support team for over 9 years. Before joining the Vision team he worked on the Sema4 application support team. In 2003 he graduated from the University of Oregon business school with a degree in Accounting and since then he has been working at Deltek.
Marlaina Mandeville has been with Deltek since 2007. She is currently a Principal Instructor with Deltek University and was previously a Principal Customer Care Analyst with the Deltek Customer Care team. She holds a degree in Computer Information Systems and has a combined total of 22 years’ experience in the Accounting Software industry. Her experience includes On-site implementation, Quality Control, Documentation, Training and Customer Care/Support. Her areas of expertise include Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint Time, Expense, Payroll and Billing. Prior to Deltek, Marlaina worked for a couple of smaller software companies, an Internet Marketing Company and a Pharmaceutical manufacturer. Outside of work she enjoys travelling abroad, camping, hiking and bicycling with her husband and son.
Damon Shratter is currently a Deltek University Sr. Curriculum Manager for Ajera and Vision and a certified Sr. Instructor for Ajera with extensive experience and skills in Training and Development. Damon works in Deltek’s Portland, OR office. He has been responsible for Customer Support, new hire training and client training on various Ajera topics. Prior to coming to Deltek, Damon has been a teacher at the Secondary and Post-Secondary levels, a trainer at various corporations as well as an instructor in the Army as an adjunct faculty member for the National Cryptologic School. Damon has a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry, a B.S. in Secondary Education and an M.A. in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Valerie is currently a Deltek University Costpoint SME/Instructor, serving previously at Deltek as a SR A&F Costpoint Consultant. Valerie has over 10 years of experience in all phases of design and implementation of accounting and financial management applications, to include SAP and Costpoint.  Valerie has worked for both domestic and global clients within Government Contracting. Her areas of expertise include the Costpoint product line (Accounting & Finance) and portions of Deltek Time & Expense. Valerie is skilled at application troubleshooting and has a strong background in delivering end-user training, and preparing overall organization for system deployment.  Prior to Deltek, Valerie worked as a Costpoint System Administrator and overall system user for a small Government Contractor. She has a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Christopher Newport University. She resides in Fredericksburg, VA with her husband, daughter, son  and puppy.
Bryce is currently a Deltek Solutions Engineer for Costpoint; focused on the materials and manufacturing functionality. He has nearly 10 years of experience with Costpoint as a user, a system analyst, an administrator, and an implementation project manager. Bryce has been on the Deltek team for just under 3 years; after working for 13 years in the Aerospace industry. He also has materials and manufacturing experience in other industries; including medical lasers, computer hardware, medical devices, plastics, software, and third party manufacturing and logistics. Bryce taught at Weber State University as an adjunct professor for 5 years, teaching APICS certification exam courses for Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) certifications. Bryce has an MBA from the University of Utah and currently holds 2 APICS certifications; CPIM and CLTD.
30 year veteran of the Project Controls Industry, user, teacher, and implementer of Deltek PPM software systems since 2005. Has experience and expertise in Deltek Cobra, Open Plan, Acumen Fuse, Risk & 360, and also Acumen Touchstone.

Since starting his first project controls job with Artemis Management Systems (UK) back in 1990, Neil has been working as a support consultant, scheduler, project controls instructor, implementation consultant, and has also functioned as project staff for various Cobra based earned value, construction, pharmaceutical, and defense projects. He’s worked with every leading industry standard scheduling tool including Open Plan Professional, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project. He now specializes in developing training courses and teaching Deltek Cobra and other PPM software packages for Deltek University.

This Hands-On Vision to Vantagepoint Crosswalk Workshop will help Vision users to translate some of the most common and widely used features in Vision and become familiar with where these features are located in Vantagepoint and how to use these features in Vantagepoint.  The instructor will guide the participants in creating Saved Lookups and Searches in Vantagepoint, using those saved searches on Reports and running a variety of reports in Vantagepoint using saved searches as well as creating new Lookups.  In addition, the instructor will discuss the migration from Info Center to Hubs, and will guide the participants in a variety of activities that highlight the differences between Vision Info Centers and Vantagepoint Hubs.

When the AP Voucher is posted, we will calculate the bill for our Customer and recoup our Subcontract costs & fees. You will be able to speed up Project Billings and get paid faster!

Audience: New to Intermediate Schedulers. No matter what scheduling tool you use, this course will help you raise the bar on schedule quality. Used together, a scheduling tool (such as Open Plan, P6, or Microsoft Project), and Deltek Acumen Fuse will help you build quality schedules that will pass muster with even the most fastidious of schedule auditors. In this course you will be given hands-on practice to learn ways for manually checking schedule quality, and you will do this in your own Deltek provided Learning Lab sandbox environment. You will also learn how to use tools like Open Plan’s built-in Validation, and Acumen Fuse’s diagnostics to check for common mistakes that impact schedule quality. While tools are being used, the emphasis of this course is to make schedulers aware of the 10 most common reasons why schedules get rejected.
