Glossary
| Procurement | A request or requisition made for the acquisition of a fixed asset. |
| Purchasing | The requisition is subsequently converted into a purchase order. The account distribution is coded with a fixed asset account number. |
| Receiving | The fixed asset is physically received. This is the first potential point for the auto creation of the fixed asset record. |
| Accounts Payable | The liability for the asset is recorded. The General Ledger receives the value of the asset. This is the second point for the use of auto creation. |
| General Ledger | The gross book value and depreciation are tracked. |
| Fixed Assets | The master record stores details regarding the asset. |
